FSVBC Girls Programs

General Information

Evaluations/Try-outs: All players must register online with FSVBC and USAV or AAU, this depends on the team you are being evaluated for, before attending an Evaluation/Tryout.

Practices are held December-April. The specific nights depend on gym and/or coaches availability. The gym sites we currently use are Cypress Bay High School, Gloria Dei Lutheran School and Broward College. We are working on more sites. Practice schedules are posted monthly on our web site.

Tournaments are held on weekends. Tournaments are 1, 2 or 3 day - 1 day Saturday or Sunday, 2 day - Saturday & Sunday, 3 - day Saturday, Sunday & Monday.

Program types: FSVBC offers 6 different types of programs:

  1. AAU Mini Fall League for ages 10-14. September, October and November.
  2. Rising Sons/Suns Academy (RSA) - This type of program is geared for the beginning player. They receive instruction and play from December through April. MUST have current AAU membership
  3. Local Teams:  NEW THIS YEAR Local teams are for those players and parents that want the professional coaching and competitive environment, to train with players with similar desire and determination to improve their volleyball game but do not want any travel costs. 5 months of training and Performance Training.  They will scrimmage the other local clubs every other weekend.  MUST have current AAU membership.
  4. Regional Teams: Regional teams are for those players and parents that want to be in a competitive environment, with professional coaching to enhance individual and team skills and compete in tournaments throughout Florida. 5 months of training and Performance Training. This program is subject to a tryout and will receive instruction and play from December through April.  MUST have current USAV membership.
  5. National Teams: Travel Teams players are the top players in their age group and play a different tournament schedule with more traveling. These teams travel not only in Florida, outside of Florida and internationally. These teams will compete in two bid tournaments, and one International tournament. 5 months of training and Performance Training.  This type of program is subject to a tryout and will receive instruction and play from December through May.  MUST have current USAV & AAU memberships.
  6. 18s Team: Tournament schedule will be modified to allow our 18s to participate and enjoy all their senior events.  MUST have current USAV & AAU memberships.

    **If any teams qualifies for USAV or AAU Junior Olympics, the season will be extended and an additional budget will be put together for these tournaments**

**Placement on any team is subject to tryout and placement by staff

The RSA fees include: 2 practice shirts, club sweatshirt, 5 months instruction & practices, facility rentals & salaries, team equipment and an end-of-the-season banquet.

The Local fees include: 2 practice shirts, uniform package, 5 months instruction & practices, scrimmages every other weekend, speed/agility/strength training program from a professional outsourced organization is included for the entire season, facility rentals & salaries, team equipment and an end-of-the-season banquet.

The Regional fees include: 2 practice shirts, uniform package, instruction & practices, speed/agility/strength training program from a professional outsourced organization is included for the entire season, tournaments with in Florida, facility rentals & salaries, team equipment and an end-of-the-season banquet.

The National fees include: 2 practice shirts, uniform package, instruction & practices,speed/agility/strength training program from a professional outsourced organization is included for the entire season, tournaments to include 2 bid tournaments, 1 international tournament in addition tournaments throughout Florida, facility rentals & salaries, team equipment and an end-of-the season banquet. 

Fees DO NOT include: Food, transportation and/or hotel rooms (if applicable) to/from or during tournaments
