2012 Season

Steps for Registration and Evaluations/Tryouts

1. Register online with FSVBC click here. After you register you will be asked to print forms. Please bring these completed forms along with $30 for players who played with us last indoor club season and $50 for all new players (evaluation/tryout fee) to your age appropriate evaluation/tryout. If you pay in advance, returning players are only $25 and new players are $45. If you have problems registering, please contact Kathleen via email at admin@fsvbc.org
   
   
2. For National, Regional  & Boys teams YOU MUST Register online with USAV - Click Here. If you are renewing your USAV membership, please select Login and renew your membership. If you are a new USAV member, please select register and join as a new member. While registering, you will be asked for your club affiliation. Please do not select Florida Sons/Suns Volleyball Club unless you are sure that you want to play with us. If you are not sure, please select Undecided for your club affiliation. When you commit to our club, you will need to log in and change your club affiliation one time to Florida Sons/Suns Volleyball. If you have problems registering, please contact the USAV Florida Region office at 352-742-0080 or email michelle@usavfl.org. Include player's name and birthdate.            
3. For local teams---YOU MUST register with AAU Membership - Click Here.  Our club code is XTB7XD.  The cost is $12 and AAU covers all the liability and insurance for the athletes, coaches, gyms and our club. (Also once your have been assigned a team membership ti AAU may be required)
   
   
4. Attend the appropriate evaluation/tryout for your age group. Please come dressed ready to play and bring the following paperwork:
   • Copy of USAV card - from USAV website--For National, Regional & Boys Teams ONLY
   • Copy of AAU Card - from AAU website---For Local Teams
   • USAV Medical Release Form(notary will be available)---ALL teams
   • Copy of Birth Certificate---All Teams
   • Evaluation/Tryout Fee - cash or check made out to FSVBC---All Teams
     
     
5. In order to be selected for a team you must be registered online with Florida Sons/Suns Volleyball Club, USAV and/or AAU, and pay the evaluation/tryout fee. If you cannot attend your evaluation/tryout, please contact Kathleen via email at admin@fsvbc.org
   
   
6. Coaches will contact the players within 48 hours to offer them a position and to confirm their plans to play for FSVBC. Teams will be posted on the website within three days after the final tryouts. To complete the process, you must also accept or decline your position online. Once you accept, you will be able to print your Payment Contract. Bring the contract along with the items listed below to our:

and Uniform Fitting* Night

You MUST bring these items to the meeting:

1. Copy of USAV card, with Florida Sons/Suns as your club affiliation
2. Registration Fee:
• $300 for National teams
• $200 for Regional teams
• $200 for Local Teams
• $100 for Rising Sons/Suns Academy (RSA) (includes December instruction and practice)
3. First installment of FSVBC Fees for ALL teams will also be due
4. Copy of signed and dated Club Tuition/Participation Agreement

*Uniform orders MUST be placed by 11/23 to ensure timely delivery for our first tournament, if you do not attend this meeting we cannot guarantee your uniform will arrive in time for our first tournament

As a player you may stop any unwanted contact from a club representative simply by asking (either verbally or in writing) that all contact cease. Any player believing a club representative of any Florida Region Volleyball club has been intimidating, harassing, or acted inappropriately in any manner of contact or recruiting should contact the Florida Region office at (352) 742-0080.

Direct distribution includes but is not limited to mailings to specific players and parents or hand distribution to players and parents.
