Don't wish it was easier...

The Rising Suns Academy was created in 2010 as a year-round training program.  It is a fun learning environment for the younger or more inexperienced players. The Rising Suns Academy will provide participants with a solid foundation of technical skills.  Registration is ongoing and a player can join at any time.  

 

The Rising Suns Academy is divided into 4 levels in order to allow for each player to be in a group that will be the most beneficial to their learning. Whether their goal is to play volleyball recreationally or competitively, the Rising Suns Academy is a great stepping stone to becoming a great player.

4 Levels:

VolleyLites - Ages 4 - 10  (This is our only age specific level)  This level will work on coordination, developing gross and fine motor skills and teamwork.

​

VolleyStars - works on basic footwork, terminology, introduction to basic volleyball skills and movement, and basic combination skills and drills.

​

VolleyJuniors - works on footwork and terminology, intermediate volleyball skills, and introduced to team play.

​

VolleySuns - will work on advanced volleyball skills and fundamentals, team play, constant movement drill combination drills and introduced to team/court systems for 6 on 6 play.

 

VolleyJuniors and VolleySuns include a scrimmage day.  This gives the players an opportunity to put the skills and fundamentals in to  play with scrimmages.

A FREE evaluation is required for proper placement.  We offer quarterly evaluation days for any player interested in moving levels.

There is a one-time $75 registration fee, this includes 2 t-shirts that MUST be worn to each practice and drawstring bag, and participants must be a member of AAU Volleyball.  AAU Volleyball covers the liability for the player, coaches and venue.  Our 2020 club code is WYA8FA.  Please use this link to register for AAU
